Tipperary's John Coughlan will miss Saturday's All-Ireland Under-21 hurling final against Galway, forcing the Premier County to reshuffle their defence.

Coughlan was booked in the semi-final win over Antrim but the offence was upgraded upon review and has his appeal to Central Hearings Committee rejected on Thursday night.

In his absence, Pádraic and Brendan Maher will change positions.

Team captain Pádraic will switch to full-back, while Brendan Maher will start at centre-back. Ciarán Hough will play at wing-back.
