Mícheál - Tráchtaire ár Linne
RTÉ Raidió Na Gaeltachta and RTÉ.ie have joined forces for a special celebration of the tremendous contribution that Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh continues to make to Irish life as he celebrates his eightieth year.
Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh - Tráchtaire ár Linne will be broadcast live on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta on Friday 10 September at 7pm. Online users will be able to watch the celebrations live via the RTÉ.ie GAA Media Player at www.rte.ie/gaa and on www.rte.ie/live
The programme will be broadcast live from the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill, and will feature contributions from friends and colleagues from across Mícheál's many areas of interest.
These will include some of the great and good of Kerry football and the GAA, those involved with Special Olympics, Greyhound Racing, the Gaelscoileanna movement and RTÉ, to name but a few, as well as his family.
The programme will be presented by Seán Bán Breathnach, with former Kerry captain Dara Ó Cinnéide also taking contributions from some invited guests and audience members.
