TG4 Senior Championship semi-final

Tyrone v Kerry, Ballymahon, Longford, 3.15pm

These two teams have been the success story of this year's TG4 Senior Championship and it's a pity that one of them won't get the day out in Croke Park that their efforts deserve.

Expect a high scoring encounter here as both teams have forwards in top form and indeed their League meeting resulted in a 2-19 to 2-14 win for Tyrone. However it is Tyrone's teak tough defence that could swing it their way.

The last day out they put the shackles on Valerie Mulcahy and company and I would expect captain Sinead McLoughlin and the other defenders to do a similar job tomorrow. But if Ní Mhuircheartaigh and Houlihan find any space for Kerry, they will exploit it. Very close to call, but Tyrone, just.

TYRONE: S. Lynch, E. Teague, M. Kelly, S. McLaughlin (capt), M. Donnelly, N. Woods, L. Donnelly, S. Quinn, S. Donnelly, C. Donnelly, G. Begley, A. O'Kane, C. McGahan, S. Connolly, J. Donnelly

KERRY: E. Murphy, K. Gleeson, A. Leonard, G. Crowley, B. Lane, A. Desmond, D. Murphy, L. Scanlon, B. Breen (capt), M. O Donoghue, S.J. Joy, L. Galvin, P. Dennehy, L. Ní Mhuircheartaigh, S. Houlihan

TG4 Intermediate Championship semi-final

Longford v Donegal, Ballymahon, Longford, 1.30

Donegal won a Junior All Ireland in 2003 but this is their chance to make an impact at this level and current Division 2 League Champions Donegal come into this match confident that they can keep a solid year going.

Yvonne McMonagle has been their shining light but scores have been shared out elsewhere which bodes well for any team going into a semi final.

Longford have done well to come this far with Sharon Treacy and Fiona Gettings in particular impressing but Donegal have the experience and the players to progress.

LONGFORD: M. Kilkenny, M. Brady, Y. Barden, S. Farrell, M. Ross, M. Moore, A. Brady, J. Brady, E. Brady, S. Treacy, E. Quinn, A.M. Brattern, A. McDonnell, F. Gettings, A. Magan

DONEGAL: R. McClafferty, D. Toner, O. McCafferty, K. Wilson, C. Hegarty, M. Herron, T. McCafferty, A. McDonnell, K. Guthrie, G. Houston, N. Hegerty, K. Feeney, E. Ward, Y. McMonagle, B. Gallagher
