Ladies: NFL Division 1 previews

The Bord Gáis Ladies NFL Division 1 continues this weekend with Champions Cork at home to Galway.

SUNDAY 7 MARCH

Dublin v Kerry, Naomh Mearnog, 1.00pm

Dublin have lost momentum since their opening defeat of Cork. A draw with Galway and a loss to Mayo leaves the Jackies in desperate need of a win. Kerry have scored 1-9 in each of their three games to date but have ended up on the wrong side of the score-line on each occasion.

Monaghan v Mayo, Emyvale, 2.00pm

The Farney women are unbeaten to date but must make home advantage count against a resilient Mayo side. Mayo survived a double sin bin to prevail against Dublin and Cora Staunton is in devastating form out of hand.

Laois v Tyrone, Stradbally, 2.00pm

Laois have turned a few heads with impressive performances against Mayo and Monaghan and the O'Moore County have a great opportunity to cement a play-off spot with a win. Tyrone are a team in turmoil and with three losses on the bounce the threat of relegation is very real.

Cork v Galway, Buttevant, 3.00pm

Cork have not overly impressed to date in the league but with just one loss and a game in hand they should be in the final reckoning. Galway are much improved this year and have gotten stronger each week. Home advantage should see the Rebelettes through.
