Galway will field a new-look side for their FBD League clash with Sligo next weekend as new boss Joe Kernan looks to strengthen his squad.

The former Armagh supremo has been scouring the county for new talent since his appointment in September and hopes that some of his new additions will cement their places in the 2010 senior squad.

Michael Martin, Cilliian de Paor and Eoin McDonagh are three in particular that are tipped to thrive under the new manager.

Speaking in Monday's Irish Independent, Kernan said: 'We managed to see all the club semi-finals and finals in the senior, intermediate and juniors and several players impressed.

'But the three trial matches that we held were the big help, especially the last one when everyone gave it their all.

Padraic Joyce, Cormac Bane, Barry Cullinane, Damien Dunleavy and Finian Hanley all remain out injured for Galway and are likely to miss the FBD League games.
