Kilkenny's Ballyhale Shamrocks and Cork's Newtownshandrum are through to the AIB All-Ireland Club Hurling Championship semi-finals after respective wins in Leinster and Munster this afternoon.

Ballyhale Shamrocks picked up their third AIB Leinster Club Hurling Championship title in four years after their 1-16 to 1-08 win over Offaly champions Tullamore at O'Connor Park.

Meanwhile, Newtownshandrum are the AIB Munster Club Hurling champions after holding off a late challenge by Waterford champions Ballygunner to emerge 2-11 to 2-09 winners at Semple Stadium.
