Owens holds hopes for Walsh and Hurney
John Owens is hoping to reach an agreement with Davy Fitzgerald that will see some Deise players line out for the football and hurling sides in the 2010 Championship.
Owens claims that dual players Shane Walsh and Gary Hurney are keen to play for both teams.
The new Waterford football boss told the Irish Examiner: 'The lads have basically said that they would like to manage both.
'It's up to myself and Davy to give them clear boundaries and guidelines.
'I haven't spoken to Davy about it but these guys are good. Both are scoring players.'
