Pressure is mounting on Limerick boss Justin McCarthy

Limerick's hurling problems are deepening with the news that four more players have quit the panel in protest against manager Justin McCarthy's selection policy.

McCarthy's decision to drop 12 of last year's panel has caused consternation within the county and Brian Geary, Seamus Hickey Donal O'Grady, and Wayne McNamara have all taken the decision to make themselves unavailable for selection.

The quartet's exit comes on the back of a similar decision from James Ryan and Damien Reale and leaves the county in the midst of a crisis.

According to the Limerick Leader, Geary, Hickey, O'Grady and McNamara contacted Limerick GAA chairman Liam Lenihan last night to confirm their decision to quit the panel.
