Harte's Tyrone term extended to 2012

Tyrone have confirmed that Mickey Harte has been given a two-year extension to his Tyrone senior football manager contract.

The three time All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning manager has been in charge of the Tyrone senior footballers since 2003.

His current term was due to finish at the end of the 2010 season.

A statement said the board were, 'happy to endorse (Mickey Harte's) request to stay on to at least the end of the 2012 season'.
