Newtownshandrum are through to the AIB Munster Club Hurling semi finals after winning 0-19 to 1-15 against Thurles Sarsfields at Semple Stadium.

There were two dramatic ties in the Leinster competition's quarter-final, with Ballyhale Shamrock and Clonkill coming out on top.

Ballyhalle had TJ Reid to thank for their victory as he scored two goals in the extra-time success.

Oulart the Ballagh had led 1-11 to 1-06 at half-time. Eoin Reid forced the game into an extra period of play with a levelling point in stoppage time and then the Kilkenny side came out on the top 2-20 to 1-21.

Second half goals from Kevin Keyes and Damien Bergin were in vain for Clough/Ballacolla as they lost to Clonkill.

Westmeath's Clonkill held a 1-05 to 0-06 lead at the break, with the goal coming from Brendan Murtagh and they held out to win 1-21 to 2-12.

Ballyboden St Enda's won the Dublin Hurling Championship after beating Craobh Chiarain thanks to a magnificent individual display from Paul Ryan.

Ryan hit 1-11 for Ballydoden in the 1-16 to 0-12 success.

Cratloe, appearing in their first ever final, won the Clare County title after beating Clonlara 3-05 to 1-09.

Conor McGrath hit two first half goals for Cratloe, but the sides were still level at the break.

However Padraig Chaplin netted in the second half to seal the trophy.
