Declan O'Sullivan scored the winning point for South Kerry as they won the Kerry Club Football final, beating Dr Crokes by 1-08 to 0-10.

Brian Sheehan hit a fifth minute penalty for South Kerry, who led 1-04 to 0-04 at the break, and despite a brave comeback in the second half by Dr Crokes, O'Sullivan's score proved vital.

There are new champions in Waterford as Stradbally dethroned the holder for their first title since 2005 and their 15th in all. Eddie Rockett and Robbie Ahern netted goals either side at half-time as they beat The Nire 2-05 to 0-09.

The most dramatic final came in Meath as extra time could not separate Senechalstown and Wolfe Tones. The sides were level at 1-09 at the end of the normal time, with Tones' goal coming from Killian Ward and Gary Conlon hitting the target for Senechalstown.

Both teams then agreed to play extra-time as the Leinster quarter-finals are scheduled for next weekend, but it failed to find a winner and they will replay on Thursday in Pairc Tailteann in Navan.
