Browne undecided on Déise future
Waterford veteran Tony Browne will wait until his club's involvement in the County Hurling Championship is over before deciding whether or not to continue playing at inter-county level.
The former Hurler of the Year had planned to retire after the defeat to Kilkenny in the 2008 All-Ireland Final but was persuaded to return for another year.
Browne will wait until after the conclusion of Mount Sion's involvement in the Waterford SHC before making a decision on his inter-county future.
The 36-year-old, who is preparing for Mount Sion's Waterford Championship semi-final against Ballygunner this weekend, spoke to the Irish Independent about his plans.
'For the moment, I'm just focusing on the club championship,' he said.
'It's a tremendous honour to captain your club, so it would be an extra honour for me if we managed to go all the way this year. We haven't won the county championship since 2006.
'And when that is over for us, I will think things over, talk to a number of people I respect highly and make a decision on where to go from there.'
