Tipp expect Kerwick to face Cats
Tipperary are confident wing-forward Pat Kerwick will be fit to face Kilkenny in the All-Ireland final next month.
Kerwick hit 1-03 against Limerick before being forced to leave the field after 62 minutes.
But the Premier County have played down the injury the Killenaule clubman sustained and expect him to be ready to face the Cats.
'Pat is fine. He got a bit of a knock and had to come off but it is not serious,' Tipperary spokesman Ger Ryan said.
'We have been lucky with injuries and I can report a fully-fit panel now. Please God it will stay that way over the next three weeks.'
Kerwick's team-mate James Woodlock has heaped praise on the Tipp management team.
Under manager Liam Sheedy and selectors Eamonn O'Shea and Michael Ryan, the Premier men have won two consecutive Munster titles and reached a NHL Division final.
But the icing on the cake will come when Tipp run out in an All-Ireland final for the first time since 2001.
'I have to say I have never worked with as professional a management team,' Woodlock said in today's Irish Examiner.
'The whole group is like a big family. Liam and the lads are hugely professional, they're in contact with the members of the panel practically seven days a week, and everything is laid on for you as a player,' the midfielder added.
