Bastick and Whelan may face action
Dublin footballers Denis Bastick and Ciaran Whelan may still face disciplinary action arising from incidents in their quarter final meeting with Kerry.
The Central Competitions Control Committee have asked referee Pat McEnaney for his comments on Whelan's late clash with Kerry defender Aidan O'Mahony, as well as an off-camera incident where Bastick became involved with Kerry's Kieran Donaghy, who ran onto the field as a water carrier.
However, even if Whelan and Bastick are handed suspensions, it will only be a token gesture as neither will miss any games as disciplinary cases don't cross over between club and county.
