A number of players on Down's minor football squad may be suffering from swine flu.

Players developed symptoms during the week after their loss to Armagh in the Ulster final.

Up to 20 players have been affected and members of the management team have also been laid low.

Training session have been cancelled and the county committee have formed a five-man panel to monitor the situation.

The Mourne men are due to play Dublin in the All-Ireland quarter-finals next weekend.
