Forde unlikely to play Championship role
Wexford football star Matty Forde has confirmed that he is unlikely to take the field at all during this year's Championship.
Forde underwent surgery on a spine problem last month and missed the Model County's defeat by Kildare two weeks ago.
He will also definitely miss out on the Phase One Qualifier with Offaly at Wexford Park on Saturday.
'I went back to the surgeon recently, and he told me it would be a minimum two months before I could think of playing again,' Forde said.
