GPA confirms talks with Minister Cullen
The Gaelic Players Assocition has issued a statement regarding concerns over Government funding for inter-county players, confirming talks with Minster for Sport, Martin Cullen TD.
Reports a few weeks ago indicated a possible disposal of the scheme, valued at €3.5 million per-year, but this was later denied by Cullen.
However, - a possible reduction of funding could remain on the cards and the GPA have now confirmed talks with Minister Cullen and his department have taken place.
The GPA will not be making any further comment for now.
