Round-up of Kehoe Cup action

A powerful burst in the closing stages earned DCU a 1-13 to 0-09 Kehoe Cup win over Mayo in dreadful weather conditions in Glasnevin.

The sides were evenly matched in the opening half and were deadlocked at 0-06 apiece at the break.

Alan Stenson (0-05) was the scorer-in-chief for the visitors, who led by three points 18 minutes after the restart.

However, good displays by Offaly's Colm Coughlan and Waterford native Tadhg O'hUallachain paved the way for a DCU win.
