I liked the article about the defenders not getting enough credit for their efforts but you have to remember that most of the panelists who pick the man of the match awards were forwards O'Rourke, Brolly, Ó Cinneide etc, and don't have as much knowledge about what a defender has to go thru mentally and physically during a game.

Leona, Mayo
At the start of the competition i felt a very good feeling for Wexford and then when theygot beaten by Dublin i was shocked and then when Tyrone was playing them i felt so0o0o0o0o0 sorry for them because if Dublin bet them by so much and Tyrone then bet Dublin Oh My God i thought but then Wexford played very well so well done Wexford. And for my the best goal by far and away in this champonship was Sean Cavanagh's goal against Dublin was the best goal this year. So for me its UP TYRONE!!!!!!!! Tyrone are gona beat Kerry next sunday in the 2008 all-ireland Final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John, Tyrone
I have one thing and one thing only to say: Tír Eoghain Abú!

jude mc hugh, tyrone/spain
I hope 'Up for the Match' will feature some other than the token Tyrone musician Paul Brady; who has no interest in Tyrone football anyway. Pity to loose the brillant Mary Kennedy for the sake of a younger model. Think we will start a campaign for the return of Mary.

Aine, Tyrone
Tyrone have worked hard and deserve to be in the final.Brian Dooher taking the lead and shines as a captain!! Tyrone for Sam 08!!!

Pat McNulty, A Tyrone Exile in County Antrim
After our underdog performance against 'The Dubs' its great to see so many pundits predicting a win for 'The Kingdom' (where the h**l did that name come from anyway) on Sunday. I had the pleasure of experiencing our triumphs in 2003 and 2005 and will be back on Sunday to see the Red Hands achieve a unique Ulster double. TYRONE ABU.

JP Clifford, Kerry but currently in Katmandu, Nepal
Best of luck to the Kerry team and all the Mid Kerry team members especially. Will be listening to the match in Katmandu, Nepal.

Ciara, Tyrone
If they were fit enough to do it twice before im ABSOLUTELY sure they can do it again for the third time!!!! 'UP TYRONE' 03,05,08!!!

John Corrigan, Markham , Canada
C'mon Tyrone You are on Your own

Paul, Wexford
Well done to Wexford footballers who done alot better than ever imagined this year reaching the all Ireland semi-final!Hopefully we can win something next year!I think kerry have a few problems at the back and if tyrone can get good ball into their forwards they could trouble kerry!I hope Tyrone win!

Martin McGuinness, Tyrone / Stockholm
Its gonna be a tough game for Tyrone tomorrow. Hope they do themselves justice and play the great football that they showed against Dublin. I will be in the pub watchin in Stockholm. Best of luck lads. Tir Eoghain abu!

Dermot Healy, England
Best of luck Kerry.

fergus daly, bronx NY
good luck to TYrone today espically my good friend Conor Gormley from all in Ned Devines Bronx New York. Fergus Daly Carrickmore

Paul Daly, Tralee Kerry
In the 2003 final against Tyrone I feel that Kerry were not as physically endowed as they are now. With the exclusion of Pat Canavan and Jerry Mulligan just to name two, I feel Tyrone look ordinary enough compared to the extensive panel of the Kingdom. The key, I feel, is the lethal potency of the Kerry forward line, if given enough ball it is probably adios Tyrone.

Marcas, Ard Mhacha/England
I know that it'll be even harder to listen to that Tyrone shower if they win tomorrow, but tá suil agam go mbeidh an bua ag Fír as Uladh!!

robert mcmahon, kerry
i think it will be a close encounter with the brilliant kerry coming out on top by 2:15 to 1:16,that is if there defence holds strong!

Helena O Sullivan, Wales
C'mon the Kingdom. Ciarrai Abu

Paddy McDonagh, New York - Tyrone
Best of luck to both Tyrone minor and senior teams in todays finals. Tyrone will beat Kerry today, creating our own three-in-a-row of wins against Kerry in recent years.

Mairead, kerry
I think that what Aidan o' mahony did in the cork game was just so embaresing with that tap in the face i had pity for donacha o' connor but I still think kerry should win their three in a row

Anna Maria Kennelly, Kerry
Can you please say hello to Celine Kennelly from Moyvane, Co. Kerry who is watching the match in San Francisco. These games are very important to those who live away from home and can't make it back for the match. Even though it will only be 7.30 in the morning the pub in San Fransisco will be packed. And tell all those Tyrone boys watching the match over there that we're sorry to rain on their parade but Sam is coming home to Kerry. From Anna Maria Kennelly (Celine's mom).

Eugene, California,USA
Tyrone will win on Sunday and they know it. The Kerry backs are weak if Tyrone mid field can give plenty ball in to the forward Kerry are in trouble.

Martin, Donegal
For a team who are'nt thinking about the three-in-a-row they are are sure talking about it alot. It shows to me that they are very nervous about this game.I feel that Tyrone are more of a team than Kerry. Kerry have played teams with poor defences and that like playing flowing football. Tyrone won't be so generous. Kerry are a great team to watch when playing well but do they have a Plan B if things are going wrong? Tyrone, I feel with dictate the way this game is played and control it.

Joseph Kenned, USA/Kerry
I have one thing and one thing only to say KERRYS GUNNA WINCIARRAI ABU!

Maria Quigley, Galway

what a super minor game well done to both teams. Our prayers with JOHN DEVINE and family we remembered him at mass earlier. The most important thing is now we have a good game, dont write us off character is the hallmark of the men from Tyrone and the women are just as good.It will be midnight before its over here and if we win we will take out the baileys and celebrate with my friends from Peru, Fiji and even ARMAGH PETER

Paul, Donegal
Head Tells me Tyrone, Heart Tells me Tyrone also. Much more heart and want for SAM !! I Hope our neighbouring county brings the big trophy back to Tyrone, and stops the 3 in a row.

Editor's note: Because the international rights to the GAA Championships are owned by Setanta Sports and as such RTÉ.ie can only stream the games live within the 32 counties of Ireland.

Tony Dolan, Kenya Highlands
Many thanks for updates and build up - you save my day after Setanta Africa once again let us down in this part of the world. Looking forward to a good second half. Best wishes

Damian Keane, Argentina
Many thanks for the updates. Refreshing the match tracker page every 30 seconds in Buenos Aires so I dont miss anything. Looks like its going to be a close one.

James O'Sullivan, South Carolina, USA
It still amazes me that those of us living overseas - in this hi-tech era- have such difficulty in seeing the game. The GAA must address this in the years ahead

Conn, Malawi
Come on kerry..cant see the match in africa..just the matchtracker

Heather, Dubai
Thanks from Dubai for the excellent coverage.

Tom shanahan, gaborone,Botswana
Thanks again RTe for the minute by minute update of the match

Alan, Dublin
am sick that tyrone has won...more wild and biased northern rantings from joe umbrella.

Holly, kerry
Kieren Donaghy is sooo HOT

Paul Daly, Tralee Kerry
Congratulations Tyrone! Yesterday I mentioned 2003 instead of 2005 and also wrote Jerry Mulligan instead of Eoin. Sorry Eoin. Well maybe I am a bit rusty like Kerry were at times today. Tyrone - I hope you can make it 4 next year. Good luck.

M Caughey, Down
A wonderful result for true sports fans after the GAA 'machine' were once again prepared to do anything to help Kerry win. The fact that the disgraced captain who abused his position and served as a very bad example to the playing youth of the country was brought on as a sub underlined the fact that no neutral would want Kerry to win. When will the GAA powers waken up to the importance of indiscipline.... he was only on a few minutes when he got a deserved yellow card....changed his ways??? I don't think so.

Roisin Bowers, Maryland, USA
What an amazing game! As a native Tyrone girl I am very proud of our county and the great game that was played today. Congratulations to all who played and enjoy your victory. Thank you to Kerry for a great and exciting game.

Patrick Kelly, Portglenone
Well done tyrone you all done a very good job to day hope and pray you can do it again next year. but a BIG sorry to kerry you lost go and play football some were else

Mary Tidbury, England
A great second half - Tyrone showed real grit to overcome the trials of the last year. The game was watched with almost as much noise as at Croke Park by my family in Banbury - my father Dermot Cummings was in the Tyrone Minors team of 1957.

smokey jo, Toronto
two wonderful games of football today at minor and seniorlevel.congratulations tyrone on winning a 3rd all-ireland.go mayo in the minor replay.

Packy, whitby,Ontario
tyrone goalkeeper pascal mcconnell was man of the match

colm, tyrone

mary mc aleer, tyrone
all i can say mickey harte is a an excellent mananger who again has brought this super team to the team of the decade. Referee was fanastic today was very fair to both teams.pat spillian please say the word tyrone propertly tonight and give them the credit they deserve.

Rory, tuam galway
glad tyrone won out.they played the better football on the day.kerry done a lot of crying and as usual the 'star' was at the front line.very easy and poor game plan....hoof it up field. hoped they'd adapt for the 2nd half but didnt. tyrone ruled and only kerry and armagh are down tonight! well done mickey harte..another masterclass on the line

barry, Donegal
how do armagh and their total dedication policy feel now as neighbours tyron have 3 sams to their one, while its 7 ulsters to armagh to tyrones 3 in last ten years.have to feel for Armagh

Sesn Kelly, England
I just like to say that Tyrone out played Kerry and i hope Kerry will be stronger next year

Pat MacQuaid, Bucharest Romania
Well done Tyrone. You have now beaten Kerry twice and have got to be among the greats in the game. Tyrone Abu !!!

Gpkarmagh, Armagh
Congratulations to our Ulster neighbours Tyrone.Kerry now haven't won a credible All Ireland in this decade:Losing to Armagh

Kiera, Monaghan
Up Tyrone best match in years. Happy days that the Sam is coming home once again to Ulster. Nice 1 x

Ray O'Hagan, Saskatchewan, Canada
Well done, Tyrone. Thanks to R.T.E. we were able to listen to the game over the internet. Reminded me of being a child, and glued to the wireless, listening to Michil O'Hehir calling the GAA games on Sunday. What a triumph for the Tyrone team and its manager and trainers. Congratulations to all

michael murphy, from kerry living in exile in Leicester
It is time for change at manager level and for the countyboard to appoint a manager who can see further then south Kerry when naming and substituting players. Maybe it is time for the Kerry county board to appoint a manager who is aware of the existance of gaa football clubs in the north of the county when picking his team. Up the Stacks

The Delaney Family, Bath Somerset/Galbally Tyrone
Congratulations to the Brilliant Tyrone Team. You did us proud.

Tom, kerry/san Francisco
better team that played as a team won,no complaints..im sure we'll come back strong..well done tyrone

Gerry, Tyrone
First time in Croke Park. Great result for Tyrone Fantastic Day of Sport, Banter. Unbelivable experience Well done GAA.

Donal Kennefick, Canada
Dara O Se's cheap shot at half time showed how much Kerry were not ready for this game.

Liam, Kerry/ Melbourne
Well done to Tyrone, they deserved their win. Kerry didn't do enough on the day. Very close game with the lead being exchanged all day. I think the winning margin was the biggest lead all day, showing that Tyrone really finished the stronger and in truth smarter. Some great and some tough football played by both teams but better scoring taking by Tyrone overall. Sean Cavanagh man of the match with some outstanding points at the most vital times.

Carrie, Kerry
Im gutted, i really am, Iv been at every match in the last 3 years and yesteday sooo wasnt Kerry, Well done to tyrone ! Question tho, Why did the hole Tyrone crowd try and boo Paul when he came on the pitch ??

Anita, Fermanagh/Tyrone
Tyrone were completly on fire yesterday. They were the best team on the day. Fair play to whoever was marking Kieran Donaghy because he did a brilliant job. I send all my congrats onto the whole backroom staff, managing staff and especially the team it self for doing us proud. Hope to see yous all in Ballygawley tonight

Suzanne, Dublin
am soo gald that Tyrone won yesterday, i know that dublin lost out to them but am soo gald that kerry didnt win the 3 in a row, kerry think they so great and the best well not anymore, the football has always been better them the hurling, i sadly couldnt go to the game yesterdaty but watching yesterday, i felt very proud to be from this country. i cant wait for next yr and am hopin that it will be Tyrone and dublin in the final. UP THE DUBS. Xxx

we are not going to meet so it does not matter (Ed: What????) Ulster
Tyrone won in 2003 deserved won it again in 2005 deserved won it again in 2008 deserved. I m sure the venom and jealously from armagh folk will rise again after oisin mc convilles spiteful book plus benny tierney has lost his money again 2003 2005 2008 betting against tyrone.armagh should be grateful for solo win in 2002

John, kerry
Cant see how Tyrone can be classed as the team of the decade. They have only 3 All_Irelands to Kerrys 4 and they havent done back to back,Kerry have been in 7 All-Irelands to Tyrones 3

Louise, tyrone
up tyrone, what a victory, fair play to kerry for a great game, I'm sure they'll be back again next year. saw some comment there from armagh, how kerry have no credits cos they lost to armagh, seriously lads, ye only won one this decade, get over yerselves, yer the worst footballers ever and i can't see ye winning anymore for a long time yet, well done to both teams yesterday. up tyrone

damien Muldoon, Dublin
Watching Tyrone win the all-ireland yesterday eased the pain of Dublin's quarter final defeat to them. Tyrone are simply the best team in ireland and the best of luck and congragulations to them. Brian Dooher is a collosus!

Eric, tyrone
nice to see the two best teams in the last few years battle it out in great style. It's a pity the rest of the counties couldn't play as good as they criticise, the dubs and armagh need to get rid of the 15 players they have because they will never ever win anything wit them, so sam will continue to go to tyrone and kerry in the next few years.

kerryman abroad, England
congradulations to Tyrone from a kerryman its nice to see some of the smaller county teams winning but lets face it kerry will be there again next year just like the last 5 years then we will see who has the staying power.

Lizzy McHugh, Eureka, California/ Castlederg
Condolences to John Devine on the death of his father. Congratulations to Tyrone and Mickey Harte on a magnificent victory. We Tyrone exiles watched the games on Sunday in the Kezar bar in San Francisco - it was an early start at half five in the morning for the minor match. Our excitement at the senior result was tinged with a bit of sadness because we weren't at home to join in the celebrations. Next year I'll go back to Machu Picchu to pray for tickets!! Good Luck to the Minors in the replay.

Ryan Flynn, cookstown.
after they won it was a klas game,, up Tyrone....

Chris, Waterford (Kerry fan!)
Well done Tyrone - great performance and a deserved victory. You were much the better team. Kerry were disappointing in their own right and their two Achilles heels - a backline that isn't firing and an infuriating inability to tackle without fouling - cost them badly. Combine that with poor tactics (Russell and Quirke not introduced, when game was crying out for them) and you have a sad outcome. Ah well, cant win them all. Well done lads for giving us an entertaining year - you'll be back!

Billy, kerry/Vancouver
gutted by sundays loss .better team on the day one.it was so frustrating to watch as kerry never really got going we should have been much further ahead at half time and lost it in the first half with all the possesion so when it went to the final 5 mins kerry have lost it there all year so for the players an management the frustration must be terrible now because on any other day we would have cake walked to our 36th all ireland

Tony, Omagh (The county town of the all ireland champions)
Ive been celebrating that much over the past few days i missed out on what pat spillane had to say about our performance...puke football?didnt think so..Dont worry pat i sang a song for you at croker when brian was lifting sam,it went like 'are you watching pat spillane'
