Mayo football manager James Horan has confirmed that forward Cillian O'Connor is making progress in his bid to be fit for the All-Ireland football final with Dublin.

Horan was speaking at the county's pre-final media briefing last night.

O'Connor dislocated his shoulder for a third time in just under 12 month during his side's victory over Tyrone in the semi-finals.

He is attending two physio sessions a day in the hope to be fit for the final on 22 September.
