Former Offaly hurling star John Troy has been appointed as the new manager of the Offaly camogie team.

He takes over from Joachim Kelly, who guided the county to All Ireland successes in 2010 and 2009.

Troy, who enjoyed a long playing career with the Faithful County, is the holder of two All Ireland titles, five Leinster titles and one All Star award.

Meanwhile, All Ireland finalists Galway have appointed Tony Ward to the senior camogie post, following the County Camogie AGM on Monday December 5th.

Ward led the county to All Ireland success in 1996 and replaces Noel Finn.

Former camogie player Sharon Glynn joins Ward’s backroom team, along with James McGrath and Declan Walsh.

Cork have appointed Paudie Murray to the senior camogie post. The St Finbarr’s clubman takes over from Joe O’Brien, who managed the former All Ireland champions this season.

Murray has previously been involved with University College Cork camogie team and is a brother of current Camogie player Aoife, and former Cork hurler, Kevin.
