Limerick 3-16 Waterford 1-17

Limerick are through to the Munster SHL final after a five-point win over Waterford at the Gaelic Grounds.

However, after leading by 14 points at one stage thanks to goals from David Reidy *1-05) and Tom Morrissey, TJ Ryan's side had to withstand a strong second-half rally from the Déise.

An Austin Gleeson green flag and three points each from Maurice Shanahan (0-07) and Jake Dillon left just a goal between the sides with 15 minutes left.

In a game where both managers made wholesale changes from the previous round, it was the introduction of Limerick sub Kevin O'Brien, and his well-worked goal, that gave the Shannonsiders the breathing space they required to set up a date with Clare in the decider on Saturday next.

That game will take place at the Gaelic Grounds and will have a throw-in time of 7.30pm.
