Karol Mannion has called time on his Roscommon career after 12 years representing the county.

The midfielder, who made his debut in 2002, won the Connacht title in 2010 and an All-Ireland junior title in 2000.

He played over 100 times for the Rossies, who will miss his influence in their upcoming Division 3 campaign.

Mannion will continue to line out with his club, reigning All-Ireland champions St Brigid’s of Kiltoom, Athlone.

St Brigid’s have won seven of the last nine Roscommon titles and were only denied a Connacht four-in-a-row by Castlebar Mitchels last November.

He was man of the match in Brigid’s All-Ireland final win against Ballymun Kickhams in 2013.
