After playing in a league match for his club last weekend, Alan Dillon looks set to feature for Mayo in their Connacht championship opener against Galway on 19 May.

Dillon saw over a half an hour of action for Ballintubber as he continues to recover fully from a groin injury.

He last featured for the green and red in the league defeat to Tyrone on 10 February.

Keith Higgins and Jason Doherty also lined out for their clubs at the weekend as Mayo coach James Horan oversees a two-day training camp with the squad in Belmullet.

Recent injuries, however, to Michael Conroy (shoulder), Chris Barrett, Brian Gallagher and Enda Varley (all ankle) will be news that Horan does not want ahead of the Galway challenge.

Mayo are seeking a third Connacht title on the trot this summer and will face Roscommon in the provincial semi-final if they get past the Tribesmen in Salthill.
