Ireland claimed the Hurling/Shinty International Series for a fourth consecutive year with a comfortable second Test win over Scotland at Cusack Park, Ennis on Saturday.

Offaly’s Shane Dooley bagged a hat-trick for the home side in the first half to leave Ireland side 5-6 (31) to 1-2 (7) ahead at the break.

A Barry McFall goal early in the second half put pay to any Scottish comeback and further three-pointers came from Séamus Callanan and Brendan Murtagh.

Kevin Bartlett (2-2) top scored for the Scots, who did force Irish keeper Bernard Rochford into a number of fine saves.
