GAA confirm that next year's Interprovincial series in football and hurling will go ahead

The GAA has confirmed that following last Saturday's Ard Chomhairle meeting the M Donnelly Inter-Provincial championships will take place next spring.

There had been doubts whether the series, previously known as the Railway Cups, would continue in 2013.

The green light to continue comes in the aftermath of the setting up of a discussion group that presented suggestions on how to recapture public interest in the competition.
