Croke Park rent boosts GAA finances

The GAA took in €7.5m in rent for soccer and rugby internationals in 2007.

The annual report showed generally good financial performance, although crowds were actually marginally down.

Gate receipts dropped below 50% of revenue continuing a decline in recent years. Financial director Tom Ryan believes that figure is too low.

He acknowledged that commercial revenues will only stay buoyant if attendance levels and gate receipts stay high.
