Bost bags Speed Derby at Dublin Horse Show

French rider Roger-Yves Bost claimed the Speed Derby on the second day of the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show at the RDS on Castle Forbes Vivaldo vh Costersveld.

Tipperary's Shane Breen finished in second on Ominerale Courcelle, while Wexford's Bertram Allen and Wild Thing L secured third spot.

Cork's Billy Twomey kept the Irish flag flying with victory in the Serpentine Speed Stakes, beating Dermott Lennon and Hallmark Elite by just over a second, with Allen again having to settle for third on Romanov.

In the final competition in the main arena at Ballsbridge, celebrated US rider McLain Ward won the Two Phase competition with Cadence, but had only three hundredths of a second in hand over second-placed Tipperary native Denis Lynch and Double O Seven.
