Coyle nets fourth on Sunshine Tour
Sunday, 14 March 2010 20:43Derry-born Trevor Coyle was best of the Irish in the Spanish Sunshine Tour Grand Prix on Sunday, finishing fourth on 'Bijou van de Vijfheide' with a single time fault in the nine horse jump-off at
Vejer de la Frontera.
The 51-year-old, who was runner-up in the 1999 World Cup with the legendary Irish-bred stallion 'Cruising', nevertheless picked up €2,000 for his place.
In seventh was Ireland's 23-year-old Anthony Condon, clipping a pole with 'Wertherroschen' in the jump-off to incur four faults, while Cork-born Billy Twomey settled for a tenth place after racking up a single time fault in the first round with Sue Davies's 'Tinka's Serenade'.
