Duffy wins French accumulator
Sunday, 14 March 2010 18:01Alex Duffy took the winner's laurels at Sunday's accumulator competition at Villeneuve de Loubet, France, but failed to repeat his Grand Prix victory of last week.
The Mayo rider piloted his mother Sandra's 'Courtown' and shaved a third of a second off the time of French star Julien Epaillard to take the €1,250 first prize.
However in the three star Grand Prix, Duffy had to settle for 15th place on last weeks' winner 'Tampa', collecting four faults in the first round and eight in the second and conceding victory to the Netherlands' Vincent Voorn and 'Audi's Cierania Z'.
Earlier at Viileneuve, Ireland's Shane Breen recorded a third
place in the Winning Round competition with 'Bluebai'.
