Ireland’s Dermott Lennon secured a place in Sunday's Grand Prix at Neumunster, Germany, after finishing sixth in the qualifying competition on Woods Rosbotham's Hallmark Elite.
The 40-year-old County Down rider was one of ten through to the jump-off, but the bay gelding clipped a single pole to leave Lennon with four faults on the board.
Germany's Markus Renzel won the €6600 first prize with Christoph Columbus on a double clear round.
Ireland's only other competitor at Neumunster, Denis Lynch, narrowly missed the jump-off when he incurred one time fault in the first round with Abbervail van her Dingeshof and had to settle for 11th place.
