Sligo's Darragh Kerins snatched the feature class from the USA And France at the Dublin Horse Show on Wednesday in a large 24 horse jump-off for the Irish Sports Council Classic Trophy.

US-based Kerins, riding his Nations' Cup horse Night Train, was just under a second faster than the US rider Charlie Jayne on Athena with France's Kevin Staut taking third place.

Earlier Army rider, Capt Shane Carey won the opening class on the Irish-bred River Foyle, with Cian O'Connor claiming third place on Splendor.

O'Connor later brought out Baloufina for the Speed Stakes and took the runner-up position behind France's Roger-Yves' Bost.
