Kurten enjoys Toledo victory

Jessica Kurten rounded off a comparatively quiet week at the two-star show in Toledo, Spain with an unequivocal victory in Sunday's Grand Prix.

In the four-horse jump-off, the 39-year-old Antrim native brought nine year-old chestnut mare Castle Forbes Cosma across the line just over a second ahead of French challenger Jerome Gachinard with Ismailia de Lormette.

Gachinard had placed second to Kurten's fifth with API Largo in the morning's speed class at Toledo and had also beaten her in Saturday's two-round Grand Prix competition, where she placed Fashion in tenth. The mare, however, also gave Kurten a third place in Friday's speed class.
