Horse Sport Ireland team manager Robert Splaine this has announced his team for the Samsung Super League Final in Barcelona on Sunday afternoon.

Ireland has been drawn eighth of nine teams to jump.

Cameron Hanley will be first on Southwind VDL. Thomas Ryan will follow with Urleven Van De Helle. Team captain David O’Brien is next with Mo Chroi and Cian O’Connor is last on Rancorrado.

Spain will take part in the Nations' Cup as host country, but its
points will not be part of the eight team Super League rankings.

With 23.83 points, Ireland lie in fifth place in the Super League, but with double points awarded in Sunday's final it could produce a dramatic change in the current order.

Germany is currently top of the leaderboard on 47 points, while Sweden hold eighth place on 12.75 points.

The team in last place after the Barcelona final will be relegated from the Super League for 2009.
