Burke third in Mannheim qualifier

Ennis, Co. Clare-born Marie Burke took third place in the Grand
Prix qualifier at Mannheim, Germany, on Friday with her Irish-
bred stallion Chippison.

Burke, who is competing in the non-championship CSI classes at
Mannheim, has now booked herself a slot in Saturday afternoon's Grand Prix.

The Qualifying class today was won by Portugal's Luciana Diniz,
who was just over two seconds faster than the 43 year-old Irish rider.
