Robbie Green moved into the last 16 of the BDO World Darts Championship after claiming a 3-0 win over Richie George.
The fourth seed defeated last year's semi-finalist and son of two-time World runner-up Bobby George after a show of strength saw him hit back from losing the first leg of the match to win the next six and claim a 2-0 lead, before dropping another leg on to way to victory.
"This is the one we want," Green told BBC Sport.
"It's no good winning [throughout the year] and then coming here and flopping in front of the cameras.
"We have to come here and perform."
In the other matches, Jim Widmayer saw off the challenge of England's Garry Thompson 3-2, Rick Hofstra defeated Remco van Eijden 3-0 and Sam Head was beaten 3-0 by Mike Day.
Christian Kist, who won the title in 2012, overcame Japan's Hiroaki Shimizu 3-2 while Gary Robson saw off Holland's Ron Meulenkamp by the same scoreline.
Kilkenny's Michael Meaney takes on Ross Montgomery on Monday.
