France's Warren Barguil took a solo win on stage 13 of the Tour of Spain and Vincenzo Nibali of Italy remained the overall leader, with Ireland's Nicolas Roche retaining second place overall.

Italy's Rinaldo Nocentini finished second on the hilly 169-km stage from Valls to Castelldefels seven seconds back, with Dutchman Bauke Mollema in third.

Roche finished the stage among the main peloton in 17th place, slightly ahead of Nibali in 20th, but at the same time.

Nibali continues to lead Roche by 31 seconds in the overall standings after a day in which the Irishman lost no further time to the leader, while Spain's Alejandro Valverde is third.
