Seán Kelly Cycling team confirmed

The An Post sponsored Seán Kelly Cycling team has confirmed that all four Irish members from the 2009 team have been re-signed for the upcoming season, while a fifth Irish cyclist was also confirmed.

The Irish quartet of Páidi O'Brien, Mark Cassidy, Ronan McLaughlin and David O'Loughlin, will be joined by former British track cyclist Matt Brammeier, who has declared for Ireland having previously raced for Britain.

The 24-year-old will also compete on the track for the country after a strong performance on his recent debut for Ireland, finishing fourth in the scratch race at the Manchester World Cup.

Armagh's Stephen Gallagher , the 2008 FBD Rás winner, has opted not to rejoin the team due to personal reasons.

FBD Rás stage winner Niko Eeckhout, who won six races in 2009, will remain with the team for at least one more season with the rest of the team selection outside of the Irish riders and Eeckhout to be confirmed.

The An Post Seán Kelly team will have a training camp from 14-21 December in Calpe, Spain and manager Kurt Bogaerts will confirm his full team for the 2010 season in the New Year.

'We are delighted to have re-signed the four Irish guys and now have a fifth from Ireland with Brammeier declaring for the country,' Bogaerts said.

He added: 'We have a training camp in Spain in December and again in January as well, and we will confirm the full team after this. We hope to make a few more additions to the team and will know more in the New Year.'
