McQuaid re-elected to UCI presidency
Friday, 25 September 2009 23:00Pat McQuaid has been re-elected for a second term as president of the Union Cycliste Internationale.
The Irishman will serve another four years at the head of cycling's governing body after standing unopposed for the post.
McQuaid was elected to the post in 2005 when he was the clear winner in an election held in Madrid, comfortably defeating Spanish candidate Gregorio Moreno.
