Date set for Landis appeal

Floyd Landis' appeal against his disqualification from the 2006 Tour de France and a subsequent two-year ban will be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport from Wednesday, 19 March in New York.

The American Arbitration Association imposed the penalty on Landis, 32, in September after he tested positive for performance enhancing drugs during the 2006 Tour.

He was stripped of his winner's medal and banned from professional racing, but appealed to CAS for an annulment of the decision.

The private hearing will last until Monday, 24 March.
