Ireland women's T20 World Cup qualifier with the Netherlands has been called off due to inclement weather.

The officials tried their best to get the game started, but just before 4pm the tie was called off due to heavy and persistant rain at the YMCA Ground in Sandymount.

The match is a third- and fourth-place play-off with the winners going to the Twenty20 World Cup in Bangladesh.

Weather dependent, the match will go ahead around lunchtime tomorrow, weather permitting of course

Earlier today, Pakistan completed their innings in the qualifier final against Sri Lanka, before the rains came forcing the umpires to call a halt to play in that clash.

The hope is that the final can be completed tomorrow, but that is not as crucial as the Ireland-Netherlands game as both Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already qualified for the World Cup.

Incidently the Netherlands won the toss today, and if the game gets the go ahead tomorrow, then Ireland will bat first.
