O'Brien doubtful for India clash

Irish wicketkeeper Niall O'Brien is looking increasingly doubtful for this evening's Twenty20 World Cup clash with India at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

O'Brien injured his ankle during the win over Bangladesh on Monday and although there is no ligament damage, he is being sent for a scan to access the extent of the injury.

If O'Brien is not fit, Surrey's Gary Wilson would take over the gloves, with Irish coach Phil Simmons having the option then to bring in Andre Botha, Peter Connell, Paul Sterling or Andrew White, who did not feature in the game against Bangladesh.

The game is due to start at 5.30pm and although it is dry presently in Nottingham, the weather forecast is poor for the region with heavy rain expected in the area this afternoon.
