Wladimir Klitschko has derided British world heavyweight title hopefuls David Haye and Dereck Chisora as "barking dogs" ahead of his defence against Alexander Povetkin in Moscow on Saturday.
Haye and Chisora, plus Haye's future foe Tyson Fury, are all expected at ringside in the Olimpiyskiy Arena to witness a showdown which Klitschko believes has the potential to be the toughest of his career.
Klitschko swatted Haye in July 2011 while older brother Vitali out-pointed Chisora early last year - and the Ukrainian believes the manner of Povetkin's big-fight build-up proves he is a cut above the British pair.
Klitschko told ESPN: "He (Povetkin) is a very respectful, calm and a very self-confident guy.
"There is no controversy like Haye did when he said all that crazy stuff before our fight, there's no spitting water or slapping like Chisora did before he fought my brother.
"Barking dogs never bite and Povetkin is not a barking dog. I believe he will deliver a great performance."
Klitschko heads into the bout on the back of a nine year, 18-fight winning streak stretching back to his shock fifth-round stoppage loss to Lamon Brewster in Las Vegas in April 2004.
And while the credentials of many of Klitschko's recent opponents have been questionable, the same cannot be said for Povetkin, who is unbeaten in 26 professional bouts and a former world and Olympic amateur champion.
Confusingly, Povetkin also goes into the bout as the reigning 'regular' WBA champion, having won the belt in 2011 after Klitschko was upgraded to 'super' champion status. The IBF, WBO, IBO and WBA 'super' titles will be on the line.
Klitschko added: "I was always dreaming about this fight. Right now for the heavyweight division it's the best fight I could have.
"He's the best opponent I've ever had. He has a great record, he is undefeated and I expect him to give everything he has to keep that undefeated record.
"He was European, world and Olympic champion in the amateurs. He hasn't lost a single fight as a professional and has never been knocked down. He is an undefeated fighter and his record is so clean it's incredible."
