Carl Frampton added the vacant IBF inter-continental title to the Commonwealth super-bantamweight belt he already held, with victory over Mexican Raul Hirales last night in Nottingham.
Frampton, maintaining his unbeaten record, comprehensively outpointed his rival with a confident display which, at times, saw him frustrate his opponent as he picked off his shots.
After 12 rounds of domination, the decision was unanimous, with the 25-year-old Belfast boxer bringing his record to 14-0 with a 120-108, 119-109, 119-109 score from the three judges.
