Ken Egan cruised into the light-heavyweight final of the Elite National Senior Championships following a commanding win over Denis Hogan at the National Stadium.
The Neilstown southpaw, who is aiming for a historic tenth Irish senior belt in a row, beat the Grangecon club-man 21-2.
Defending champions Eric Donovan, Willie McLaughlin, Con Sheehan and Darren O'Neill progressed to next weekend's deciders as did Ray Moylette.
Moylette was 4-0 down in the first round of a full-blooded duel against defending 64Kg champion Philip Sutcliffe from Crumlin BC, but turned things around in spectacular fashion to win 10-8.
Tyrone McCullough and Gary Molloy and former Irish senior champ Cathal McMonagle also had their hands raised in victory.
Jessica Lyons beat Caroline Connolly 10-3 in the only female semi-final of the evening.
The Elite semi-finals resume on Saturday night with ten last-four bouts pencilled in for decision.
