Dunne to delay decision dilemma

Bernard Dunne has revealed he is not even thinking about his boxing future in the wake of his shattering defeat to Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym at the O2 on Saturday night.

After a bright start, the Dubliner was caught out in a devastating third round in which he hit the canvas three times.

Immediate reports on the fight suggested that the time could be right for the 29-year-old to retire, but the Neilstown man is not contemplating that route just yet.

Speaking at City Hall to publicise Dublin City's selection as European Capital of Sport for 2010, Dunne admitted: 'I'm not even going to think about it for the moment. I'm going on holidays with Pamela and the kids - I don't even know where yet - and after that I'll start thinking about things, but not for now.'

He added: 'I want to spend time with my family and when I've done that I will sit down with my manager Brian Peters and my trainer Harry Hawkins and we'll talk everything out and consider all the possibilities.

'Until then, I'm not even going to think of whether or not I'll fight again - and it'll probably take me a month or two to make up my own mind.'
