UL Eagles returned home with an impressive victory against Cork side Bord Gais Neptune in the opening weekend of 2012-13 National League basketball season

Killester came out on top after they clinched a close win at home to Dublin rivals UCD Marian.

UCC Demons beat a resilient Moycullen in Galway as Nivea For Men’s SuperLeague newcomers, Dublin Inter, claimed their first win against last year’s beaten finalists, DCU Saints, in the National Basketball Arena.

Reigning Nivea For Men’s SuperLeague champions UL came back from a 13-point deficit at half time to win with a buzzer beater over Bord Gais Neptune on a score line of 74-72.

Although the game had an exciting finish, UL Eagles started the game very sluggish.

The second quarter seemed the most difficult for them as they struggled to close the gap with the cork team.

Killester fought hard for their 62-59 victory in their Dublin derby with UCD Marian.

UCC Demons enjoyed a win on the road against Moycullen as the game finished 80-72.

Dublin Inter were keen to send out a serious signal to the rest of the league with their impressive 82-67 win over DCU Saints.
