ESB Superleague round-up

A weekend of shock results in the ESB Men's Superleague saw three of the top placed teams defeated. Neptune lost their chance to pull away from the chasing pack when they went down 85-90 to Gleneagle Lakers in Neptune Stadium today. Frosties Tigers troubled Sx3 Star by defeating them 95-92, their new signing Antoine Gillespie creating quite a stir with his 43-point contribution.

Bottom of the table Waterford Crystal overcame Hibernian UCD Marian (85-73) while Dart Killester went down to Irish Travel Partner Saints (94-78). Elsewhere BurgerKing Limerick lost (100-106) to Notre Dame and Tolka Rovers went down 108-101 to Mardyke UCC Demons.

In the women's Superleague, University of Limerick retain their top position following a 79-68 victory over Sasha Meteors, while Bausch & Lomb Wildcats defeated Drimnagh Dynamoes (80-65) in a dress rehearsal of the ESB Cup semi-final. Also Glanmire defeated Tipperary Talons 52-29.
