Athletics Ireland has finalised a team of 11 for this weekend's European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg.

Eight athletes were pre-selected last week, but Waterford's David McCarthy has been forced to withdraw because of illness.

Four athletes have been added to the travelling party.

John Travers and Stephen Scullion enter the 3,000m, with Claire Tarplee in the 1,500m and Rose Anne Galligan in the 800m.

The championships will run for three days beginning on Friday.

Brian Gregan, Ciaran O’Lionaird, Derval O’Rourke, Fionnuala Britton, Ciara Everard, Amy Foster, David McCarthy and Tori Pena make up the rest of the team.
