The Ireland team's preparations for the European Cross Country Championships have been disrupted after Budapest Airport was shut down due to electrical problems in the control tower.
The Irish team, which is headed by Fionnuala Britton, will be competing on Sunday and were meant to travel to Budapest on Friday evening.
The team is now likely to fly to Vienna via London and will transfer by bus to the Hungarian capital, where this year's Championships are taking place.
It is reported that the airport will remain closed until at least Saturday morning.
Britton is defending her senior title and is a major contender for a medal in Sunday's race.
